She said she did a walk around too, and saw no rust or dings. 3900 is crazy, but clean Datsuns are a rare sight even here.
NPoCP?

Those hubcaps are not period-correct — CP!!
In all seriousness though, looks pretty nice. Kinda price y but could be nice if it’s rust-free.

Mountlake Terrace? 99? I have a vague recollection of seeing this

Needs honeycomb hubcaps:
Would be NP if a genuinely mint car with no needs, but add needs or imperfections, and veers into CP pretty fast at that price. These were tinny and interiors can be biodegradable if exposed to any sunlight.

Yes! 228th and 99

Strangely, I think those hubcaps kinda work on this car. I’m not saying they look fabulous, just that they don’t seem out of place to me. Not sure why.

I actually like them too; the period-correctness part was in jest. I think they might actually be from a ‘90s Nissan (maybe a Sentra or something?)

I’d offer $3000 and go to $3500 and consider it NP

To me it’s CP but it’s all up to personal preference. I could see a vintage Datsun fan being willing to spring for it.

Some of those buy-here-pay-here lots have absolute gems. There’s a Volvo specialist that always has a few “mechanic-specials” f or sale, a high-end Japanese i mporter with a Ducati-filled atrium, an auto broker with a stunning display of mint M3's of each generation, all in real colors....
Have you seen the new forest green Toyota has been rolling out? Magic Toyota has a Brz and a Tundra parked out front, and I've never been so attracted to a color in my life.

A few lots on or around 99 in that area also have a knack for finding clean 90s era MB. There have been a couple 140s that have caught my eye, and there’s a very clean earlier S124 that also tempts me, just no room or budget for it, details details.

I think for me this would be the deciding factor too. I don't have enough time and energy for a project car that doesn't tick the 3 pedal box..

I know the area has a s hady reputation, but at the very least you can tell that a lot of those places are run by people who genuinely appreciate cars.
The Ford dealership has a gorgeous older Benz wagon with jumpseats. They've even given it a spot right out front.

That is amazing. I love jdm utility vehicles

The last 210 I bought was $575 and was in respectable condition. We are living in a multiverse where even 280ZX’s are deemed desirable. I wouldn’t pay more than $1, 001

Yeah, there are a couple “specialty” sellers who also seem to be BHPH lots as well. Fun to browse if anything.
I think that wagon is the same one I saw online, I think the color was called “desert taupe”. Just over 100K miles, very clean. They want 7K for it, I’d want to be in closer to 5500 or so.

given how much people advertise the 120Y for here, that would qualify for NP
but anything more than a mere few hundred dollars they’re CP

Cute little car. I’d rock it
